| These are the tools you need to remove debris from
beaches and other areas with sand or loose soil where it is not
practical to use power equipment. These tools are designed to be rugged
enough to provide years of service but light enough to minimize worker
fatigue. They are very effective in the process of capturing and
removing oily solids from the surface of sand or water.

Dune Doctor
The Dune Doctor is a serious
beach maintenance tool. The basket opening is 12 inches wide and 4
inches high, yet the entire weight of the tool is only 4 pounds
including a 42 inch fiberglass handle. The Dune Doctor can be configured
in either a rake or shovel mode in seconds by moving one bolt. Either
way, it efficiently skims debris off the surface, capturing it in the
steel basket. A quick shake allows the clean sand to pass through the
1/2 inch square holes, and then a quick turn of the wrist drops the
debris out into an appropriate receptacle. |

The Sand Witch Flies Through Sand Made in the USA These rugged steel sand scoops are designed to skim the surface picking up debris from the surface of the sand with minimal penetration. For beach or playground maintenance they are perfect for removing trash, broken glass, cigarette butts, oil soaked sand, or tar while allowing clean sand to pass through. The Sand Witch is designed with a wide flat cutting surface to maximize surface coverage and minimize digging. They are available with a 10 inch handle or a 28 inch handle with a comfortable foam grip. The opening is 5 1/4 inches wide and 3 1/2 inches tall, weighs only 28 ounces with the 10 inch handle. These are normally zinc plated steel but are available in stainless steel and aluminum. They can also be powder coated red, blue, or safety orange by special request. |

Adapted for use crude oil cleanup in water: The standard unit has 3/8 square holes to allow clean sand to easily pass through while retaining debris and high viscosity liquids. It can easily be converted to a tool to pick up lower viscosity liquids out of water by installing a standard 1 gallon plastic paint strainer inside the recovery basket as illustrated. The inexpensive paint filters can then easily be removed and disposed of. |

The Treasure Scoop: Made in the USA This reinforced plastic scoop was originally designed for metal detecting. It had to be to be strong enough to dig in any kind of soil and to be nonconductive to identify metal targets that were in the scoop.
